On Monday, May 27, devastation struck many of our surrounding communities. Displacing families, friends, and whole towns. The damage left by the path of the Dayton tornadoes is evident in the news outlets, social media, and while driving through our neighboring towns.
We open our hearts and push through in these following days with hope and faith, by help of our neighbors. It is through the strong ties of our small communities we are able to function after such heartache.
It's not often our small towns feel this pain or witness firsthand the damage of mother nature, but this week, we grow a little more understanding and heartache for all those who've been previously affected by storms, natural disasters, and tragedy.
As I sit writing this, I have yet to make contact with 90% of our Dynamite community and I hope this message finds you well and pushing on in any unfortune you and your family have faced.
In moments like these, it's import to keep a schedule of normalcy for our future generations and offer a place of hope and positivity. Though difficult, we will soldier on. But, our normalcy is not left untouched by the damage done.
It is with a heavy heart, and a hope for pure understanding from our families, we must reschedule our upcoming performance, SHOWTIME 2019 - "A Dynamite Rydell".
I can't believe we are only 14 short weeks away from SHOWTIME 2019! It is such an exciting time of the year, but can bring anxiety and stress if we are not well-prepared. It is my hope to keep you well-informed and confident leading into your Twinkle Star's performance experience.

As a Twinkle Star family, your SHOWTIME experience will differ from that of older dancers. It is important we keep our Twinkles relaxed, confident, and happy! We will try our best but your help as volunteers and parents will be essential in making it the best experience for your dancer.
In the coming weeks I will be providing families with information for SHOWTIME, please focus on the information for Twinkle Stars! It can be confusing, as each class experience varies from another. Twinkle Star requirements are less than those of older dancers and geared toward providing the best experience for their age group.

Each Twinkle Star class will perform in TWO routines.
This will differ from the 2 routines performed in the holiday show, as we have learned from our last performance and made improvements!
Tuesday, Twinkle Stars 4-5:
Costumes were purchased in the Fall with either the VIP Performance Package or the individual costume fee.
*If you have recently enrolled (as of December or later) your costume fee will be on your account. The fee is due by March 15.
Costumes have been finalized and costume images will be available on your accounts in March.
Tights & Shoes for Costumes:
Each dancer receives 1 pair of tights with their costume. These tights are specifically for performance. Please do not use them for classes before Picture day & SHOWTIME.
Shoes are those used during season with dress code.

Hair & Makeup
Hair can be styled any way you'd like, as long as it is out of the face and not a distraction to the dancer. All hair styles must include any hair accessories provided with the costume.
Makeup is encouraged to help keep Twinkles from being washed out under the stage lights.
If you are a VIP SHINE family, your makeup kits will be arriving this Spring.
If you are interested in purchasing a Twinkle Star makeup kit, they will be available on our Parent Portal Online Store.
The makeup palette is specifically designed for the younger dancer with the perfect pairing of shades and products to provide a finished look without an overdone, too old makeup application!
Additional Performance Opportunity
All Twinkle Stars are invited and encouraged to take part in the Father Daughter dance! This season we are excited to offer it in a streaming video format to allow Daddy and Daughter to work it into their schedule and make it a date each time they wish to practice! With limited in studio rehearsals, we hope this opens the option for more families to enjoy this sweet experience with their dancer.

To Our Families,
First off, I want to thank you for being a part of our community and spending your Saturday with us for our 3rd Annual Holiday Performance, Candyland Christmas. Your patience during our technical issues on Saturday, December 15 was greatly appreciated, and our dancers were professional and patient as well.
I am proud of how hard our dancers worked in the weeks leading up to our show and the joy of them being on stage is hard to top! I hope you enjoyed watching them perform as much as I did.
To be a part of the growth of your children and help them achieve something as big as performing on a stage in front of 300+ people is incredible! I understand how special these performances are, how individual each experience is and how important being able to remember those wonderful moments are. Events like these cannot be replicated.
I am sorry we failed you during this holiday performance, as our video files are corrupted.
We did not accurately predict the possibilities of the technical challenges we faced during the performance. We truly believed the issue had been fixed during the delay of the performance. There was a larger issue during the first part of the show, which resulted in files being destroyed.
Because of our mistake, we are unable to offer video files for the 2018 holiday show, Candyland Christmas. I understand how frustrating and infuriating this can be. This is not our usual standard for shows and service.
Kyle and I are very sorry.
Dynamite Dance Center will be implementing a new backup system and extra camera set up for future performances to prevent this terrible mistake from happening again. We will be releasing a highlight reel of the salvaged files of this past performance, but are unable to produce individual routines. Your free HD videos included in your experience will be top-notch from here on out.
Again, we are so sorry for this mistake and outcome of the 2018 holiday performance videos.

Policy Changes Effective January 1, 2019
Dynamite Dance Center reserves the right to change our policies at anytime. Please see below for detailed information on our updated policies effective January 1, 2019. We thank you in advance for your understanding and appreciate your business.
Credit Card & ACH Convenience Fee
All credit card and ACH payments will incur a convenience fee of 3.0%. Due to the increased cost of processing credit cards and e-checks for a small business, you will now see an increased charge of 3.0% for all online payments. To avoid this charge, you may pay by cash in the studio payment box.
Discounts & Credits
Dynamite Dance Center will no longer offer discounts for tuition, events, costumes, packages, or any other services provided. Dynamite Dance Center provides an incredibly valuable experience for your dancers, and our prices reflect that.
All sibling discounts and multi class discounts will be honored for the remainder of Season 4. An updated, and much anticipated, change to tuition, costuming, and seasonal fees will begin with Summer 2019 and Season 5 registration. Please look for the updated structure in the New Year.
Payment discounts already received and processed for Season 4 will be honored and your account will remain paid. Pay ahead by 30 days 3% discount will no longer be valid as of January 1, 2019. If you wish to receive the 3% discount and avoid a 3% convenience fee, you may pay ahead online now through December 31, 2018.
Dynamite Dance Center will offer a discount opportunity once a season beginning with Season 5. Please look for the detailed information in the New Year.
Account credits will be valid for one season. Account credits must be used in the season in which they are received. If you overpay, the over payment must be used before the close of the season. You may use the over payment to register for the next season or events. Once a new season has begun and your season (in which you earned credit) has closed, your account will be reset to zero. Please check your account and register for upcoming seasons and events before the current closes, if you have credit to use.
All dancers enrolled in season will be responsible for a drop fee of $605 per class, minus tuition already paid, if dropping after November of the current season. Costumes will not be provided to any dancer dropped from season. Drop fees do not apply to Twinkle Stars until January of the current season.
A written notification must be received 30 days in advance. The credit card on file will be charged if payment is not received upon drop.
Exchanges / Refunds
All services, products, and events are non-refundable upon payment. Exchanges will not be offered or made for any services or merchandise purchased at Dynamite Dance Center. All sales final.
Enrollment changes will not be permitted once season has begun, unless a class is canceled or removed from the schedule. Dancers may drop a class and enroll in another class, but a fee may occur based on enrollment of dropped class. A class of 6 or fewer dancers will result in a drop fee.
All fees are subject to a late fee.

It's Holiday Showtime!
At Dynamite Dance Center we strive to provide everyone with the best possible experience on show day. We work hard to offer an organized, professional, and safe atmosphere for all dancers, teachers, and guests. We truly appreciate your cooperation and compliance with all show day rules and procedures.

Tickets & Show Entry
A printed ticket is required for all guests ages 1 year and older.
Please have your ticket printed and ready when entering the auditorium.
All ticket emails will be resent as of December 14.
Guests will be invited to find their seats beginning at 1:40pm.
Limited tickets are available at the door. Tickets are $10 at the door, cash only.
Backstage Access and Dancer Safety
For the safety of our dancers, we limit all dressing rooms, backstage areas, stage halls, and stage access to dancers, volunteers, and teachers. Limited access is provided to parents with a wristband for dancers ages 7 and under.
All guests, including parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, and friends will stay in the lobby and auditorium before, during, and after the show.
Arrival To the Show
Your dancer should arrive at Brookville Auditorium between 1:00pm and 1:45pm. The show will begin at 2:00pm. Guests and audience members should not arrive until 1:40pm. The doors to the auditorium seating will open 20 minutes before the show.
Your dancer should arrive fully dressed in their costume and ready to perform, except for their dance shoes! Hair and makeup should be complete, dancers should change into their dance shoes after check-in.
Please - No Dance Shoes Outside!
Upon arriving to the school, please enter the side doors at the auditorium entrance. Follow the signs leading to the dancer check-in.
Dancers should be checked-in by one parent. All siblings and guests should stay in the lobby.
At check-in, parents of dancers 7 years and younger will receive a wristband to wear. This wristband will give you access to the lining hallway and dancer dressing room (if necessary) to help your dancer with costume changes and/or to stay with your dancer until their turn to line up.
Siblings, friends, and other family members will not be permitted to join you in the hall / dressing areas. The wristband will not give you access to the stage area.
Once your dancer is settled backstage, you may return to the lobby and find your seat in the auditorium when doors open. If you choose to stay with your dancer, please enter or exit the auditorium between dances, not during.
During the Show
Dancers are required to stay backstage with their assigned volunteer / teacher during the show. Dancers will not be permitted to leave the lining area and dressing rooms until the show has finished, and they are greeted by their parent.
Twinkle Stars may join their parent in the auditorium before or after performing, but must be lined up with their class 5 routines before their performance. Please see the Twinkle Star handout from class for further details.
All dancers will be accompanied by our student teachers and parent volunteers while backstage. Dancers are monitored and stay in their assigned space until lining for their routine and performing. Once they've performed, dancers will return to their area and wait for finale.
After the conclusion of the show, dancers will be dismissed from finale in the order in which they bow for finale: D1/Teens, Show Stars, Sparks, Twinkle Stars. Dancers will remain with their assigned teacher until greeted by their parent (with the wristband) in the lining hall. Dancers will not exit from the stage or leave to find Mom/Dad in the auditorium.
Please gather your belongings from the auditorium and meet your dancers in the hall, outside the stage door. We will be waiting for you.
After reconnecting with your dancer, please gather any of their belongings from the dressing areas and hall and proceed to the lobby.

Your Experience Includes
Our families will receive a high quality video of the full show, as well as, individual routine videos. These videos may be shared, saved, and placed on your choice of media.
Because of this, we ask all families to put their phones and video cameras away.
Cell phones, tablets, and large camera equipment hinder the view of other paying guests and downgrade the quality of video and experience we are able to offer. Violators will be asked to leave the theater.
Videos should be available within 7-14 business days.
